Jesus’ Constant Care
One sunny spring day, little brown Billy Bunny decided to go for a hop through the forest. He asked his mommy if he could go by himself. She hesitated but he told her that he knew his way and that he would only be gone a little while. Mommy Bunny then told him she would go to the opening of the nest and watch him. He was to stay in front of the nest only.
The little bunny went hippity hop out of the nest and on to the pathway. He stopped for a moment, turned around and checked to see if Mommy Bunny was watching. He waved around a pretty yellow flower. He looked up and listened as Mr. Oliver Owl hooted a friendly hello in his direction. Following the path he heard the rustle of Mrs. Betty Bear as she gathered her cubs together for lunch. He looked at the green bushes in front of him and saw little Freddy Frog as he hopped into the creek.
He really was enjoying his time in the forest. So much to see and so many nice friends to keep him company. All of a sudden he looked up and he couldn’t see his mommy. He went to the right and to the left, he scampered forward and backward. He could not see her. Soon he became afraid. He didn’t know where he was. He began hopping down the path in front o him. Can you help him find his way back to Mommy Bunny?
When Billy Bunny returned home, his Mommy was at the doorway, ready to hug him. She told him she was very happy to see him again. She also told him she had seen him all the while he was in the forest because she followed close behind. She told him that even though we cannot see Jesus, He too, is with us all the time and he can see us everywhere we go. Little Billy Bunny smiled as he listened to his Mommy and he was happy that Jesus is always with him. He is always with us too ... everywhere we go and every moment of the day! He loves us and cares for us all.
